SILVERTHORN RESORT
at Lake Shasta
Everyone remembers his or her first experience of Shasta Lake — whether fishing or just vacationing on the lake, you fall in love with your own little piece of Shasta when you're there. With over 365 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 400 feet and 30,000 acres of surface water, Shasta Lake has quickly become the houseboating and wakeboarding capital of the world. With this much space, Shasta Lake is the perfect place to get lost on your own island or in a private cove.
At Silverthorn Resort we make it our constant goal to provide every guest with a fun and memorable vacation experience.
Like most of Northern California, Silverthorn Resort has grown with time. We're quickly becoming the premier resort on Shasta Lake. The No. 1 attraction to Shasta Lake is houseboating — and we have some of the most luxurious houseboats around. Our Queen I houseboats have all the modern amenities you could want, including: private staterooms, full bathrooms, sleeping room for 16 (20 if using the beds on the third deck), full kitchen appliances including a dishwasher and trash compactor, satellite TVs and DVD players, fireplaces, hot tubs and much, much more. We're proud to have added more new boats to the fleet this year and they're still available to rent for the 2008 summer season. We also have mid-range houseboats: the Presidential (sleeps 16), and the Executive (sleeps 10), perfect for those smaller get-togethers and some rest and relaxation on Shasta Lake. No matter what boat suits your needs, your houseboating adventure is sure to be an outstanding experience.
Houseboating isn't all there is to Shasta Lake; therefore, we also offer cabins that range in size to accommodate four to 10 people. All our cabins come equipped with all the kitchen comforts as well. Need somewhere to dock your fishing or ski boat? All our cabins come with a slip on our locked, private moorage dock.
Silverthorn Resort offers ski boat, fishing boat, patio boat and Sea Doo rentals at our marina. Our Pizza & Pub restaurant is open for the summer season between Memorial Day and Labor Day with live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night. Enjoy the best pizza and best views of Lake Shasta from the large outside deck. After a long day of fishing or of just being on the lake, the Pizza & Pub is a welcoming oasis to fuel up and make your plans for the next day's adventure!
With a gift shop, pro shop, grocery store, fuel dock, private moorage and courtesy dock, we've made every attempt to be a fun-filled and relaxing vacation resort. We know that your vacation is a very important time for you, your friends and your family; therefore we strive to meet your every need when it comes to customer service.
While visiting the area there are many other attractions to experience. Take a day and tour Lake Shasta Caverns, known as the "Little Carlsbad." You will be led through the two-hour tour amazed at the crystal formations embedded in the limestone and marble walls, learning how the earth created them. You can also enjoy a Shasta Dam tour, walking through its 3 miles of tunnels where workers monitor the dam, which holds enough water behind it to cover the state of Connecticut. There are local fishing tour guides if you're looking for the upper hand on catching the biggest bass and trout in the lake, as well as miles and miles of trails for hiking or biking among the forested terrain.
While dreaming up your next vacation adventure, or to just get away for a weekend or a day, remember Silverthorn Resort on beautiful Lake Shasta.
