SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
2010 Western Division Champs

Who knew?

2010 Western Division Champs

That the starting pitchers and the bullpen would give the league six months of nightmares? That Brian Wilson would outdo himself? That a raw rookie catcher named Buster would emerge as a slugging superstar and win the confidence of a great rotation? That Aubrey Huff, coming off a down year, could drive in big runs in big games, something he'd never even had a chance to do before in his long career? That Pat Burrell could climb off the scrap heap and deliver huge clutch hits? That Juan Uribe could be plugged in wherever he was needed and deliver in the field and at the plate? That Freddy Sanchez could overcome adversity and inspire the team with his intensity? That a kid named Torres whom no one ever heard of, who'd knocked around in obscurity for years, could catch fire in his 30s? That journeyman Cody Ross, a late-season afterthought, would become a San Francisco postseason legend? That this team could come back from six out in six weeks and take the division, win the pennant and end up in the World Series?

Who knew? Giants fans, that's who.
