Throughout the Sacramento River Cats' 10 years in West Sacramento, the team has established itself as a huge success both on and off the field.

With four Pacific Coast League championships and more than 150 players sent to the major leagues, the River Cats have become the crown jewel of the league. American League Cy Young Award winner Barry Zito (Oakland A's), 2002 American League Rookie of the Year Eric Hinske (Toronto Blue Jays), 2004 A.L. Rookie of the Year Bobby Crosby, Eric Byrnes, Nick Swisher and many more have passed through Raley Field on their way to stardom.

Raley Field, located directly across the Tower Bridge from downtown Sacramento, has housed every championship banner, diving catch and rally chant over the past decade. With a wide variety of flexible ticket options, the River Cats have achieved a passionate fan base that stretches across all demographics. To purchase individual tickets (starting at just $7), visit the Raley Field Ticket Office or rivercats.com. For information on ticket packages, group rates, individual tickets and everything in between, call 916-371-HITS (4487) or visit www.rivercats.com.

U.S. Bank AAA School Day Assemblies at River Cats Games

Led by Tony Asaro, Community Relations, the Sacramento River Cats welcome local Sacramento schools to a select number of River Cats games each season. The pregame program that features River Cats players and coaches is held in the seats of Raley Field and focuses on the Triple A's: Academics, Attitude and Attendance.

Annual Players' Wives' Food and Diaper Drive presented by Kinder's Meats

The Players' Wives Family Food Drive was initiated during the 2000 season by Pam Geren, wife of former River Cats manager and current A's manager Bob Geren. Fans are encouraged to make food, diapers or monetary donations at the Aug. 1 game at Raley Field, and for each donation fans receive an autographed baseball card of their favorite River Cats player. In its first nine years, the Players' Wives Family Food Drive collected more than 50,000 pounds of food and $30,000 for local families.

River Cats Independence Field

As part of the 2005 Triple-A All-Star Game Legacy Project, the River Cats Foundation, along with River Cats Baseball, contributed cash, goods and services totaling over $250,000 to River Cats Independence Field over a three-year period. River Cats Independence Field is a baseball diamond in South Sacramento resurfaced with a custom rubberized turf, a similar material used for the track-and-field surfaces in the Paralympics. This special field also includes dugouts, restrooms, snack bar and a family picnic area all redesigned to match accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities.
