About Us

Christopher Weills, founder, has an extensive publishing background dating back to the 1960s when he published a counter-culture magazine in San Francisco. In the 1970s he published The Goodfellow Catalog of Wonderful Things, a mail order catalog of handcrafted items that earned him and the editor, Sarah Satterlee, a guest appearance on Good Morning America and feature articles in major national newspapers.

In 1985 he entered sports publishing with the Bay Sports Review, a highly regarded publication covering professional and amateur sports for the San Francisco Bay Area. Christopher is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz and a 30-year resident of Berkeley. Twin daughters Selina and Chloe are also East Bay residents and Christopher recently became the proud grandfather of Sadie Kit Sprenkle and Zander Moon Satterlee-King.  email

Affiliated with Bay Sports Publishing since its inception, he is now in retirement after serving as a four-term mayor and 20-year city councilman for a small Sierra foothill town. Tom Stern, writer-copy editor. Tom's road to Bay Sports Publishing was full of twists and turns. At age 22, fresh out of college, he found himself teaching high school English in southern Wisconsin. Two years later he moved to the Bay Area to seek his fortune in music. For eight years he toured the country in a band that opened for the likes of the New Riders of the Purple Sage and Jerry Garcia. After that, he produced 17 albums, including two that were nominated for BAMMIES (Bay Area Music Awards). As middle age loomed, Stern turned to journalism and in two years had won a national award for his book reviews.
